Eagles drop home opener

Rabun Gap hosted Robbinsville on Friday afternoon in their home opener.  The Eagles fell behind 8-0 after Robbinsville marched 52 yards on their opening drive.  Rabun Gap responded with a a nice drive of their own.  However, an illegal formation penalty inside the five caused them to settle for a Carter Minnich 27 yard field goal to cut the lead to 8-3.  The Black Knights marched down the field again to make it 15-3.  They added another touchdown before half to make the score 22-3.  After a scoreless third quarter, Robbinsville scored from the one yard line early in the fourth the make the final score 29-3.  Bailey McBride finished with 82 yards on 21 carries.  The Black Knights rushed for 275 yards on the day.  Rabun Gap (1-3) will host Christ School next Friday at 4:30pm.
