Junior Boarding
An immersive, supportive environment for grades 7-8
Rabun Gap offers a distinct junior boarding program for Middle School students. The Junior Boarding program is small by design and carefully crafted to meet the unique needs of early adolescents, providing students with a healthy balance of structure and independence. Our Middle School boarding program also exposes students to friends from across the country and around the world.

Focus on Fun
Middle School boarding students enjoy lots of fun activities on weekends and afternoons. On-campus, students enjoy S’mores on the front porch, dodgeball in the gym, board games in the dorm common room, and engaging group activities. The group also goes on regular trips together to local hiking trails, the mall, and nearby restaurants. -
Full-Time Dorm Parents
Junior boarders live with two dorm parents who provide full-time supervision and support. Middle School boarding students are only housed in Anderson Dorm and participate in activities together as a group. They also have senior student leaders living in the dorm, providing additional mentorship. -
Structured Program
The Middle School Boarding Program introduces students to boarding school life and helps them gain independence and responsibility through a structured program. Students do their own laundry, are responsible for chores in the dorm, and attend study hall together.
