About

School Leadership

What do you know about Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School? Here’s an invitation to learn more about a school community that has existed for more than a century and has grown to become a national leader among boarding and day schools.

Welcome to Rabun Gap!

Firmly rooted in a strong tradition, at Rabun Gap, you will discover an adventure for your body, mind, and soul. You will learn among students from all over the world, and you will stretch your horizons, growing in ways you never even imagined.

Since its founding, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School has been providing a well-rounded education in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. Situated on 1,400 pristine acres in the northeast Georgia mountains, we have held fast to the vision of our founder, Andrew Jackson Ritchie, who understood the value of Work Study Worship. These pillars still guide our community today.
So take a look at our website. You will soon learn that with 680 students from more than 50 countries and 15 states (Pre-K through 12), we are the most geographically diverse school in the nation. You will find exciting and unique opportunities, such as the acclaimed Cirque program, among many other offerings. You will find an enriching academic program that will challenge and prepare you for college and beyond. You will see that there is a full array of possibilities in the artsathletics, and activities.

Wonderful though these glimpses are, there is no substitute for moving beyond the website and actually coming for a visit. When you arrive, you will quickly sense a community that truly cares for everyone. Teachers, coaches, and advisors know how to support and challenge at the same time. It’s a place you will build lifelong relationships that will shape your character through life's journey. And all of this on a campus more beautiful than any other in the country.

A Warm Welcome,
