Eagles lose on the road

The Eagles offense couldn't get anything going in a penalty fueled 7-28 loss to Cannon.
The Eagles made the journey to Concord on Friday to play the Cougars of Cannon School.  The rain was not a factor as it turned out to be a beautiful night for football.  However, the Eagles did not help their own cause as they had 11 penalties for 112 yards and 2 turnovers.  Rabun Gap could never really get anything going on offense and trailed 14-0 at the half.  After Cannon scored to make it 21-0 late in the third quarter, the Eagles put together a nice 89 yard touchdown drive.  Onni Soinenen punched it in from the 4 yard line to make the score 21-7.  Cannon responded with their fourth and final touchdown to make it 28-7.
