Rabun Gap football competes on ESPN and in NFL stadium

Rabun Gap's football program, which began in 2009, has grown into a national powerhouse. It has already been a historic season. On August 25, the Eagles faced Baylor School in Chattanooga on national television as a part of ESPN's High School Kickoff. The six-game series featured the top high school teams in the country and was aired live on ESPN. This was the first time a Rabun Gap team has played on national television. Although Rabun Gap came up short against Baylor, the game was an amazing experience and kickoff to an exciting season.  The team went on to defeat Christ School 61-6 in Asheville on August 30.

The Eagles traveled to New Orleans on September 5 to play John Curtis Christian School, one of the top-ranked football programs in the country. The game was played in the Caesars Superdome, home stadium of the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles defeated JCC 27-12. The first home game is Friday, September 20 at 7:00 PM against The Hun School of New Jersey. Buy tickets online here, and check out the team's schedule on our website.
