Camp MasterChef kicks off at Rabun Gap

The culinary camp will bring hundreds of students to campus this summer.
Camp MasterChef is in full swing at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School!

The camp is affiliated with the FOX TV show MasterChef Jr. and is committed to helping kids and teens ages 8-16 spark their culinary interest and develop their cooking skills. Many of the former MasterChef Jr. contestants and champions will visit the camp in the upcoming weeks.

The Lower School classrooms have been transformed into teaching kitchens where campers receive culinary instruction and hone their skills each day. There's also time to participate in fun games, activities, and theme parties across campus. The camp is using all areas of campus, including the A&T building, O.C. Skinner Natatorium, dining hall, and athletic fields.

“We’re excited and honored to host Camp MasterChef on campus this summer,” said Shannon Carmack, Rabun Gap's Director of External Affairs.

Many Rabun Gap students are participating in the overnight camp along with children from across the United States.
