Lady Eagles explode with a 62-24 win against Metrolina Christian Academy
Following a huge first quarter where the Eagles scored 22 and shut down Metrolina, the Ladies went on to claim a 62-24 victory Saturday.
The Lady Eagles exploded with a 22-0 first quarter on Saturday in route to a 62-24 victory over Metrolina Christian Academy. Rabun Gap played their best game offensively by shooting over 43% from the floor for the game, while holding Metrolina to 24%. Josie Earnhardt went 9 for 17 from the floor to finish with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Claudia Lopez added 9 points and 2 assists. Derin Akdeniz had 4 points, 6 assists, 5 steals, and 3 rebounds. Manii Lewis contributed 8 points and 5 rebounds. Josephine Frimodt had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kyleigh Overholt finished with 6 points as she hit two huge three pointers during the first minutes of the game. Rabun Gap (6-2) will travel to Southlake Christian Academy on Monday for a 5pm start.
