Kendall Butler '18 accepted to Alvin Ailey Intensive

Rabun Gap dancer will travel to NYC for summer program
Rabun Gap dancer Kendall Butler will spend part of her summer studying dance in the theater district of New York City after being accepted to the Alvin Ailey Intensive.

Kendall will spend over a month learning technical, artistic, and performance skills through a variety of techniques, repertory workshops, and performance opportunities at one of the nation's top dance programs. Founded in 1969, The Ailey School's mission is to make dance accessible to young people and adults through dance training and innovative community outreach and arts-in-education programs.

"The Ailey Company is one of the finest Modern Dance companies in the nation with a very prestigious history," said dance instructor Ms. Heidi Spoon. "Kendall is an extraordinary dancer. I'm so glad the company saw the great potential in her that we all know she has."
