Rabun Gap traveled to Charlotte on Friday to face the Carolina Pride.  After a 29 yard FG by the Pride on their opening drive, the Eagles marched down the field and scored on Bailey McBride's 4 yard run.  The PAT was blocked so the Eagles led 6-3.  The Pride added another 29 yard FG to tie the game at 6 on their next drive.  Rabun Gap scored again on their second possession when Glenn Pearce took it in from 5 yards out.  The PAT made it 13-6 and it remained that way until late in the third quarter.  The Eagles had two turnovers on their first two drives of the second half...an interception inside the 10 yard line and a fumble at midfield that was returned inside their 25 yard line.  However, the Rabun Gap defense came up huge when Logan McRary intercepted a pass and returned it 78 yards for a TD...increasing their lead to 20-6.  The Pride responded with a quick drive and score on a 27 yard TD pass.  The PAT was no good, so the score remained 20-12.  Rabun Gap put together a nice drive that ended with a 33 yard FG by Carter Minnich that increased their lead to 23-12 with just over 8 minutes left in the game.  The Eagles defense did the rest to preserve the huge road win.  Onni Soinenen had 13 carries for 98 yards.  Bailey McBride finished with 93 yards on 18 carries.  The Eagles defense held the Pride to 67 yards rushing for the game.  Rabun Gap (3-6) will host Davidson Day on Friday for Senior Day.
