International students share their culture with Rabun County Primary School students

Rabun Gap students from Ghana, Korea, Serbia, China, and the Bahamas visited Rabun County Primary School Friday and shared information from their respective cultures.
International students from the Upper School participated in a community service event Friday afternoon.  Students from Serbia (Anja Racic '19), Ghana (Nicole Poku '18), Korea (Catherine Kim '18, Clara Hong '18, Kevin Cho '18, and Kevin Seo '19), China (Dee C Dong '18, Alexia Ge '17, Gabrielle Jiang '19, Dennis Jia '18, Cindy Shen '19', Tian Zhang '18, Aldora Wang '18, and Jason Zhang '19)  and the Bahamas (Jazmyn Pickstock '19) visited the Rabun County Primary School to share their culture and country with local students.

The Rabun County Primary students learned how to say hello in other languages, where the countries represented are located, what kinds of food the Rabun Gap international students eat when they are at home (and how they eat it) and a song from the Bahamas.  Rabun Gap students did a great job sharing their culture, showing photos and teaching their language.  As we left, many of the Rabun Gap students asked "Can we do this more often?"  It was a benefit and interesting for all involved.  Rabun Gap international students, Lead the Way!
